It used to be S.W.E.D., before that Funky Munkey, and now it carries Snoop Dogg’s name. The reviews online are good, and I believe they run a solid business. But be clear about what you’re paying for. Part of every gram goes to the name on the door. Uncle Snoop has to earn something too, so on average you pay a bit more here than elsewhere for the same quality. The menu isn’t built around branded 3.5-gram bags, as you might expect from a Californian name. Mostly it’s Cali genetics, sold by the gram. The nice surprise is on the Dutch shelf. Classic local genetics, like a good Bubblegum, come in smart packaging of their own. It’s a small thing, but it shows someone here knows where Amsterdam’s own strains come from. Come for the photo and the story. Just know the story is on the bill.
