By Mister Haze. Published .
What is beta-caryophyllene?
Beta-caryophyllene is a terpene, one of the aromatic compounds plants make. It smells like this: pepper and spice. Cannabis is one of the plants that makes it.
Where else you meet it
Hops, where it contributes to the aroma together with humulene; it is also the compound usually named for the smell of black pepper and cloves.
In a coffeeshop
How much of it a jar has depends on the plant, how it was grown, dried and cured, and how long the jar has been open. We do not promise anything about what it does for you. We can show you the strains whose write-ups describe this smell.
