Terpenes
Humulene: what it smells like and where else you find it.
By Mister Haze. Published .
What is humulene?
Humulene is a terpene, one of the aromatic compounds plants make. It smells like this: woody and earthy, with the hoppy note you know from beer. Cannabis is one of the plants that makes it.
Where else you meet it
Hops, sage, ginseng and pine trees.
The name
It is named after hops (Humulus lupulus), where it was first found.
In a coffeeshop
How much of it a jar has depends on the plant, how it was grown, dried and cured, and how long the jar has been open. We do not promise anything about what it does for you. We can show you the strains whose write-ups describe this smell.
