Eucalyptol: what it smells like and where else you find it.
By Mister Haze. Published .
What is eucalyptol?
Eucalyptol is a terpene, one of the aromatic compounds plants make. It smells like this: a fresh, camphor-like smell and a spicy, cooling taste. Cannabis is one of the plants that makes it.
Where else you meet it
Eucalyptus, rosemary, ginger, damiana and cannabis.
The name
In 1870 F. S. Cloez gave it its name after finding it in the main part of eucalyptus oil.
What it is used for
Flavourings, fragrances, cosmetics and mouthwashes.
In a coffeeshop
How much of it a jar has depends on the plant, how it was grown, dried and cured, and how long the jar has been open. We do not promise anything about what it does for you. We can show you the strains whose write-ups describe this smell.
