By Mister Haze. Published .
What is ocimene?
Ocimene is a terpene, one of the aromatic compounds plants make. It smells like this: sweet and herbal, a bit fruity. Cannabis is one of the plants that makes it.
Where else you meet it
A variety of plants and fruits, and basil.
The name
The name comes from Ocimum, the plant genus of basil, which itself comes from the Greek word for basil.
What it is used for
Valued in perfumery for its sweet herbal scent.
In a coffeeshop
How much of it a jar has depends on the plant, how it was grown, dried and cured, and how long the jar has been open. We do not promise anything about what it does for you. We can show you the strains whose write-ups describe this smell.
