Never take it with you
Crossing borders
Can you take weed home or on a plane from Amsterdam?
No. Cannabis is only tolerated in the Netherlands, and carrying it across a border or onto a plane is illegal, including at Schiphol. The country you land in applies its own rules, which are usually much stricter. Finish it or leave it behind before you travel.
Cannabis bought in a coffeeshop is tolerated in the Netherlands and nowhere else. Never carry it across a border, not to Belgium, not to Germany, not through Schiphol. Customs checks happen, penalties elsewhere are not Dutch-style lenient, and trains to neighbouring countries do get checked. Whatever you don't use, leave behind.
That includes Schiphol and every other airport. Security and customs check bags, and cannabis counts as an illegal drug in almost every country you can fly to, most of Europe included. Even a small amount can mean a fine, a missed flight or worse. Finish it, give it away to a friend who lives here, or leave it with your host before you go.
